The IRI Detailed TT of this train says that it starts from Shalimar Station and travels via Padmapukur - Santragachi - Baltikuri Jn - Bhatta Nagar to join further at Dankuni Jn for proceeding towards Burdwan Chord Line. I was thinking that some trains from Howrah Jn New Complex can also be launched and they can take this route towards Dankuni to go to North India or even via Santragachi - Adra / Asansol or Santragachi - Purulia / Gomoh to decongest Durgapur Track :-)

Its very punctual, reason is its TT. Pnbe se ye danapur ex, punjab mail, vibhuti se pehle khulti hai to late hone ka sawal hi nahi hota aur yahan shm se kafi late khulti hai to max trains kafi aage nikal chuki hoti hai

Santragachi and Dankuni ko world class station banane ki baat chal rhi hai. Hope you will see soon more no. of trains originating from SHM to north india's stations
