Pune-DD electrification may get delayed. MSEDCL is not getting the enough land for electricity towers. The deadline for the electrification is March 2015. But Rail authorities are still hopeful and saying that the work will be completed within deadline only

That doesn't make sense. If Daund is electrified, trains that run with Electric locos from MMR can be hauled by electric locs from Daund itself saving energy and cost.

But I don't see that happening soon maybe Railways want entire Pune Manmad stretch to be electrified thats why they did not electrify Daund station in MMR DD phase.
