RailFan journalist contacted their PRO on their demand for CBI investigation, in his words,
" Look, Our sikkim Super star is famous for its performance of running NOT ON TIME. If IR publishes these kind of reports, then people might think
that our super star is also running on time. And then it just becomes one among the 1000 trains which run on time.
Will people bother to look and discuss about it ? That is why the NE states are ignored by the main stream meadia in rest of country.
BPL Shtb for its speed, VSKP Godavari ex for cleanliness, Coromandel for its toilets, Mandovi for its PC and Sikkim Super Star for its delay.
We face intense competition from powerful trains like Sampoorna Kranthi and NZM LTT AC King for their delay where they have huge fan following.
We would be thrashed in competetion by those powerful fan organaztions and this report is death blow on us."
