4 BOGIE 2 TE/BE meter - Traction / braking effort, bogie 2
5 LSDJ:To indicate status of Main Circuit Breaker which is also Known as VCB or Vacuum Circuit Breaker
6 LSHO:Lit if the Hotel load contactor is closed and the loco is supplying power to the train;
7 LSP:To indicate wheel slipping/skidding;
8 LSAF:To indicate excess air-flow in brake-pipe;
9 LSVW:To indicate vigilance warning-lights up if the vigilance conditions are not met in the stipulated time(60 seconds);
10 BPVR:Push-button vigilance reset;
11 BPPB:Push-button parking brake;
12 BPCS:Push-button Constant-speed control;
13 ZBAN:To enable banking mode(isolates the train brake system in banking loco);
14 ZTEL:Tractive Effort Limitation:limits the maximum tractive/braking effort of the loco on vulnerable tracks like bridges;
15 BLHO:To close hotel load contactor and start supplying power to the train;
16 BLCP:To start compressors;
17 BLDJ:To close/open DJ;
18 ZPT: Spring—loaded switch used to raise/lower pantograph(This Key is also used to activate Driver's cab if BL key is not present in Panel A)
19 BL: Key switch - Activation of Driver’s cab.
20 LSCE: Lamp, amber - used to indicate excess temperature in machine room.
21 Emergency Stop button is self-explanatory.(red - Emergency stop)

2 Machine Room of a WAP 7
Special Courtesy and hearty thanks to IRFCA Member Mr Sundar Mukherjee to present the "Machine Room" of a WAP 7 so vividly to us.
Brief Synopsis about the machine room:
There is a narrow passage in the middle of the "Machine Room" which is used by the "Loco Pilots" to change their cabin that is cabin 1 to cabin 2 or vice versa according to the direction of the movement of the locomotive. There is two cubicle in the machine room situated both the side of the narrow passage in the middle. One is known as Machine Room Cubicle 1 or HB1 another is known as Machine Room Cubicle 2 or HB2.
