RailFans don't miss their train. Why? Because they go to the station HOURS before the actual departure of their Train - to watch OTHER trains depart. - Prince Maan

Article in yesterday's Deccan Herald (17-Feb) highlighting the inconvenience faced by passengers and low level occupancy after change in timings. The triweekly Garib Rath train from Yeshwantpur to Secunderabad has been advanced by almost six hours. The advancement has resulted in a very thin booking rate and the occupancy has slipped from an average of 70 per cent to 40 per cent.
While the passengers blame the South Western Railways (SWR) for the unfriendly timings, sources in the Railways attribute the reason behind the change to a former railway minister. The former minister wanted another triweekly, the Yeshwantpur-Bidar Express, to run seven days a week. As the Bidar train timings clashed with the Garib Rath train, the schedule was changed.

say that despite opposition from the SWR and South Central Railway officials, the Railway Board at its meeting decided to change the timings of the Garib Rath to accommodate the Bidar train on three more days a week.the new schedule is inconvenient. Professionals will have to take a half-day leave to catch the train at 1.30 pm. The arrival time is also odd as the train reaches its destination at 4 am.

Better divert this train via mbnr, krnt, dhne. In this train they have good patronage. Run this train by 4pm everyday from sc, it will reduce the burden to 12785 KCG-SBC SF EXPRESS

Still old Udyan slot from SBC is vacant- can be run in that slot from YPR leaving around 19:45 and taking precedence over KK over the SSPN bye-pass and swtiching over to KRNT route can reach KCG behind Venkatadri around 7

If SWR allows to leave this at 19:45...than there was no prob with SCR from DMM to run in the route of GTL/RC/VKB/LPI
Infact the prev slot of this GR(all the three old slots) were near 7 to 9pm only frrom ypr.
When ever the RTI is filed..it gets transfered to SCR div and GTL operating staff replies for it...as after changing time they say this has been transfered to GTL div in SCR and timings changed bcz of route constraint is SWR.
