Clicked the pics of brand new NTPC kudgi WDG-3A hauling IR coal loaded rake to SKTN/SGRL VIA NPTC Singrauli MGR ( merry go round ) .

is this the first time a non-shunter category loco has been allotted to a company??
Many power plant and cement plant owns wdm2 , wdm3a and wdg3a loco . few I know are ntpc , sail , lanco
It serves NTPC Vindhyachal also. I have spotted a few. My father was posted in it earlier.
Here at singrauli there are 3 ntpc power plants each at vindhyanchal , shaktinagar and rihand . All three collectively called NTPC Singrauli
I disagree with it. NTPC Singrauli refers to NTPC Shaktinagar while NTPC Vindhyachal is a separate & much more bigger plant. Also, Rihand & Shaktinagar belongs Northern Grid while Vindhyanagar comes under Western Region-II.
