In CHENNAI METRO fares should be equated with the KOLKATTA FARES Rs 5 to Rs 25 .
The present huge fares should be reduced by half as Rs 10 to Rs 5, Rs 20 to Rs 10 ,Rs 30 to Rs 15 and Rs 40 to Rs 20 for good patronage.Initially patronage may be good for the first time traveller.Regular commuter travel should be encouraged with monthly season ticket for good occupancy .

Kolkata metro fares are too cheap and Chennai metro fares are too expensive. They should find some middle ground.

Both Govt gives subsidy for operation and maintenance of enviro friendly and cost effective mode of public transport and hence fares are reduced .Patronage also very good.
