So, in this two DFC we can see WAG-9 which is a good news. This class with it's two variant 9H & 9i has been produced in BULK now in CLW and it's Dankuni Unit.
I think this type of evolution is required by boosting Passenger Service with WAP-7 & WAP-5 in IR.

WAG-7s don't seem to be so fit for 100+ Kmph runs since they look quite old-fashioned using some tap system technology. 3-Phasers are the future. Let's see if Mughalsarai ELS gets some P-5s, P-7s and G-9s in the years to come :-)
ABV got credit for Golden Corridor of Highways, and NaMo striving for same in IR. It would be a revolution for IR.

As per Data of E-Loco website of IR on Engine Kilometer Per day Per Electric Loco in Use in ALL ZONES of Indian Railway in last 5 years including the Current Year it is seen that Passenger Locos cover much more distance that Goods Locos(Except NR where the reverse is seen in every year).
