But seems this is not going to happen any time soon.The association has been raising the issue of speeding up 16381 / 16382 Mumbai - Kanyakumari Jayanti Janata Express for the past few years.This train is still running on a schedule prepared 30 years back. Though most passengers from Mumbai do not prefer to travel by this train, this is the only daily train connecting Mumbai and Pune to Palakkad.

I have heard that this train will be speeded up .But the exact opposite happened.
In Kerala i think only DHN-Allp seems to have h got a significant time change. Apart from that I think even Raptisagar express time at ERS has been brough forward by 30 min....not too sure though. At least CAPE-Mumbai CST should have been speeded up.
In PGT div speed up has happened. most of the trains have speed up by 5 to 15min in SRR CAN or CAN MAQ section. But TVC div there is no speed up. Even the train which got speed up in PGT div maintain same time at TVC div. Eg, TVC Mail will be arriving PGT 10Min before current time, but at TVC it is still same old time.
