diesel EMD's can't shut EOG's/Self generating units completely, only supplement them. kind of like how Solar PV cannot provide complete electric supply of home but rather does so with the help of grid supply. It needs along with regenerative system (which means active front end rectifiers) a voltage sensing device which can decision based on whether to put load on EOG/generating unit or draw from loco. a challenging task, but not impossible.
for 3 phasers they simply take power from OHE and supply it backwards.

I only talked about 3 phasers with HOGs abilities Sir..........they can definitely take up the load of the EOGs, as they take power directly from the catenery!

Thanks for the appreciation which has been the "Mental Boost" for my work here so long. I have already shared my "Conversation with the WAP-4 LP of SER" and also the Reply made by Him. As per the Logic SER can't be judged which is easily reflected from the reply of the Lp. However, now the WAP-4 count of SRC is going to nearly 80 additionally AC Cab fitted new WAP-4 from ET, VSKP, RPM etc now regularly visits SRC these Locos will fulfill the Coaching requirements of SER till 2060. So, SER won't require any WAP-7 I think. Another fact which I think after posting Entry# 1614043 today that SER probably have no "A" Category drivers and Loco...
