I have booked a ticket for 3people on Garibrath express, in Waiting List. After chart preparation, only one person's status got confirmed and other two were still in WL. Hence, all three didnot traveled.
I knew, Filing TDR is the only way to get my money back. but, i am not sure what reason i should give for TDR filing?

u can file tdr afetr train has departed.

Unfortunately, i did both wrong. Filed just after chart prepared (before train depart) and with the reason, "Unable to cancel as the chart prepared at originating station".
Any work around, to sort out this?

if its family of 3 vide same pnr then for partial confirm + partial wl ., cancellation by way of tdr is done n allowed ., for family its valid reason ., not fault of passengers.
u can cancel tdr and try again..but b4 that i suggest u to hav a complete look at irctc on tdr and rellated rules.also u can write a mail ti irctc.
