I was traveling in this train from BSP to Panvel today. It arrived 30 mins (approx) late at BSP and continued getting late till NGP where it reached 1.5 hrs late. After NGP, it had a good run till IGP (Igatpuri) where it reached at 11:00 PM (approx 2 hrs late ) which is normal as it was 1.5 hrs late at NGP only. To my surprise and I don't know the reason why, it was controlled for 3.5 hrs between Igatpuri and Kasara. It was halted for 1 hr at Igatpuri and 1.5 hrs at Kasara and reached Kalyan at 3:20 AM. Though it had yellow signal in Kalyan (as its not a commercial/technical stop for this train) but the train halted for a minute at Kalyan.
Now CR n IR shud run more regular trains via PNVL so that Karjat-KYN-CST route shud be decongested n PNVL shud get more importance as a new Station near CST and this new route can be used to send trains CST without touching congested route of Karjat -KYN-DR-CST
agreed. More trains should be run in evening and morning peak hours via PNVL. A sizeable crowd staying in Navi Mumbai prefers expensive shivneri and other private volvos to Pune owing to lack of decent train connectivity. That is a huge market waiting to be captured by IR.
