SBCKLBGVandeSadharana~ 10624 blog postsIsland Exp will be put on the Platform-2 of SBC at 17:30, 2hr 30min before the departure time itself. What is the need to put the trains 2-3hrs before the scheduled departure, instead some MEMUs/DEMUs can be run towards Bangarapet/Kolar/Dodballapur/Hosur.
Also I have seen Karnataka too by17:20 on PF-1, 2hrs before the departure.
I think SWR should try to become more efficient.

This way thy keep wash/pit line free for other train to enter washline or await @ pit line for next entry for washline!!
Further, no action usually happens @ these PF & other PF remain empty to get managed for DEMU/MEMU!!
Further to park a rake at bzy junction in self is time taking process & @ peak, the same would keep long await or block regular trains @ outer..hence logical to park in case less congestion persist!!
