If ECoR and SCR, with the combine help of Central govt,Telangana govt and Chattisgarh govt plans up a new feasible track connecting Manuguru with Kirandul via this dense forest of chintalnar, then surely it will be a boost up for our country's tribal and rural people development. Many east-south bound trains can be diverted by this route. Also this route would be tight slap on the terrorists (naxalite) for whom this area is the heart of their operations.
Chintalnar is the very same place where these maoist shamefully killed 76 of our brave soldiers in april 2010.

How about the forest cover sir? it is declining in India.. am not against the project.. but the region around the line should be limited for farming instead of mining...

If govt would have been son conscious for saving the forest and eco-system, then goa would have never been connected to india by rails (Konkan rail and braganza ghat). No railway connectivity would have been extended from jammu tawi to upper kashmir. No new rail lines (KUR-bolangir) would have been started.
But instead everywhere in india, new railway lines are constructed by sweeping out the forest lands.

Actually this whole project was comprising of many other small small projects.
In this DNK project, even the Kothavalasa-araku-Kirandul line and development of koraput railway station was also the part. And these all rail projects were done where else rest all were scrapped off.
The reason is not eco-system, instead it was all corruption and money. Kirandul-vskp line was made quickly as it was funded by japan govt and their iron benefits from baladila.
These

were the projects undertaken under DNK :
1. Bhaskel Dam
2. Pakhanjore Reservoir (Kherkatta Reservoir)
3. woodworking centres at Jagdalpur, Boregaon, and Umerkote
4. Balangir-Kozilum railway project
5. Koraput railway station,Titlagarh railway station,Jharsuguda railway station,Sambalpur railway station,Araku railway station
6. Malkangiri/ Malkangiri district, Bailadila, Bhawanipatna
7. Kothavalasa–Kirandul line/ Kothavalasa railway station/ Kirandul railway station
8. Biramitrapur city
9. Rourkela city
10. Bimlagarh
11. Kiriburu project
12. Dandakaranya – Bolangir – Kiriburu project (DBK project).
Out of these many of them were completed ignoring the eco-system hazards.
