Maam, you will have to approach the SR authorities. Apart from the 2 overnight daily trains, there is another train on Friday and one on Saturday from Chennai. But don't underestimate the strength of the BUS MAFIA who wiil thwart all attempts to introduce additional overnight trains.
There's already a SF running between Chennai-SNSI which starts every Friday from MAS to reach SBC early morning, isn't it.

I think it better to send an email and some written letter to DRM. Because may be now there is corrupted guy, but sure one guy will come and dont care all these bullshit. Some good officers in india cannot make decisions because that they cannot prove...if u r emails or letter helps them to prove..thats well and good.
Just try your best all the time. I am always surprised why dont they built a trach between Katapadi and Bangaepet which reduces good amount of travel between these 2 most important...

Chennai-Bangalore traffic can easily absorb one overnight Garib Rath and one overnight Duronto in addition to the Mail and Kaveri Express. I understand that about 100 buses ply daily at night between these 2 cities.
