Trains always halt at Veer for crossing and overtaking. Why next and previous stations like Goregaon Road and Sape Wamane are still halt stations? If second track is laid there, they can also be used for crossing and overtaking. They are required as proper stations with multiple lines and auto signalling system.

Please find screen grab taken from IR's NTES. Right side figures show distances in kms. I was referring kms from NTES and not from KR site.
Anyways, KR is planning doubling on Roha - Veer stretch in next three years. Work might start from next month. So, let's see. But, I feel halting at Veer can be reduced by laying loop line at Sape Wamane.
Halting b reduced @ Veer but thn @ next station!!
Do u think, IR shld induce stations in between current stations with distance exceeding 15-20 kms?? Or to invest on Halts for Loops??
PS: The real distance will come out after deduction of 15% with current NTES KMs...

KR is coming up with 11 new stations. Asurde, kadwai, Chinchavali, bordave will be from Maharashtra. Mayem, Neura and Sarzora will be from Goa. Construction of already declared saundal hault will be started soon. It will be made a proper station. Fund of 25cr will be required for its upgradation. Veravali Halt is built in 1cr. But, no such news came whther it will also be made a proper station or not. I think all other stations also might be halt station to start with. But, I feel Veer, Sangameshwar, Nandgaon Road and Verna are stations where trains mostly await signal. So, halt stations around them need to be upgraded.
