I gave in pg portal to increase the trips of this train in first week of may as well as last of April but got a reply that they were planning to introduce it into a a weekly express than special but konkan railway denied permission for run in ko.nkan
I doubt if that reply is factually correct. Konakn railway is hungry for any kind of traffic and they are unlikely to refuse any new trains. Just my hunch...
few days back a news article about kr said that traffic on kr was 175% of its design capacity.
Hungry or otherwise it is difficult to introduce anything new with that level of saturation.

Running new trains on KR is impossible now. Doubling has to be completed for any new services to be introduced.
