मानिकपुर से मझगवां तक ही ओवरहेड इलेक्ट्रिक (ओएचई) लाइन बिछाई जा सकी है। मझगवां से सतना स्टेशन के मध्य विद्युतीकरण कार्य धीमी गति से किया जा रहा है। रीवा से सतना रेलखंड पर ओएचई लाइन खींचे जाने का काम अधिकांशत: पूरा हो सका है।
