India is a nation where vast number of people believe in cost effectiveness. Why Maruti is more purchased vehicle in the entire nation because it has extra mileage tag. So even if you introduce Bullet train with price at airfare, sorry it will be a flop show.
India govt always created thing only if it is beneficial to public, not if its luxury. E.g Our Rajasthan-Palace on wheels or Maharaja express- All these are only interest of foreign public not a 1 percent of Indian public using it.
