Raipur-Durg(Phase1)-Rajnandgaon(phase2) metro was announced in Chattisgarh budget but 2 years ago, but nothing has happened till date. Let us see the MP Govts thirt metro venture GWL one moves ahead or not.
Even Gwalior metro was announced in Oct 2014. Though an office is already in construction by Rites.
MP Govt is still grappling with the earlier announcements i.e. IND & BPL metro announced probably as early as 2007, and very recently there had been lot of turmoil in vidhan sabha too. May be Gwalior Metro also find attention after the problems of these two forerunners are sorted out.
छोटे और मध्यम श्रेणी के शहरों ने मेट्रो को मज़ाक बना रखा है। मेट्रो उन शहरों के लिए है जहां की आबादी 1 करोड़ के आस-पास या उससे अधिक हो या जिनका क्षेत्रफल काफी बड़ा और फैला हुआ हो। इंदौर-भोपाल-ग्वालियर जैसे शहरों को अगले 50 से 100 सालों तक मेट्रो की कोई आवश्यकता नहीं है। यहां केवल स्थानीय यातायात को बेहतर बनाकर, और सिटी-बस जैसे लोक परिवहन के साधनों की संख्या में विस्तार किया जाए तो काफी हालात बदल जाएंगे। मेट्रो जैसी महंगी परियोजनाओं के लिए विदेशों से महंगा कर्ज लेना मूर्खता ही कहा जाएगा। मध्यप्रदेश सरकार ने तो मेट्रो की डीपीआर बनाने के लिए भी 8 करोड़ का लोन लिया था। ऐसे में 26000 करोड की परियोजना दिवास्वप्न ही है। ये केवल राजनैतिक नकल भर है... और कुछ नहीं। इंदौर जैसा शहर जो केवल 35 लाख की आबादी वाला है और केवल 16 किमी की परिधि में फैला है और...
