What is the advantage in running DEMU train rather than running normal passenger train? (What is the purpose of DEMU?)
DEMUs have Multiple Units which can accelerate and decelerate rapidly as compared to any Passenger train rake hence reducing the travel time.
Demu doesn't require another loco for taking the rake so fuel saved
This gn rake can be used for providing gn coach to other train
Demu has a good average speed for short distance stopping
