Why fare rationalisation should be done for Mumbai suburban rail services only, which is giving better revenues/ Operating-Ratio than other suburban services in IR network? It should be done for all suburban rail services.
Mumbai sub urban services always have patronages over sitting + standing approved capacity.So the revision of fares are not necessary .
More over Mumbai sub urban systems are life line of Mumbai Metro.All the Sub urban fares shall be always subsidized by 30%.Railway s are enjoying free lands in Metros from the British era and obliged to served for the poor and common people of Metro.
