A man travelling on top of a local train in Mumbai was electrocuted to death after coming in contact with the overhead 25 kV wire. The incident caused a loud blast. Assuming it to be a bomb explosion, passengers jumped out of the train onto an adjacent railway track.

We definitely live in a world full of Idiots. What was the need to jump from train and getting injured? If a OHE wires falls on the shell of the coach then it passes to the ground taking the Less resistance path without spreading in the whole coach so nothing would have happened to people sitting inside the coach.
People might have thought that bomb blast had occured, that's why they ran. And the man was a great fool travelling on roof on electric section.
Boss when someone is in panic situation then they do instictive action. This is why most govt prepare their citizens for emergency situations but in India we dont have such ..
They must have thought that its a terrorist blast and hence tried to escape from train. Here we have got time to discuss their action but they had to take quick action...

And u know what,still people travel on roofs .......pity IR after these many incidents,still not controlling not providing sufficient locals
