one thing I have noted about halts is that there are only two tracks in a halt...one for up and 1 for down...i am not sure it's applicable in all cases
Junction:-meeting of tracks coming frm one or more location excluding to nd fro main track.eg tj
Regular:-A station where it has only to nd fro tracks but having loop lines.eg alu
Terminus:-A station where the tracks ends in other words it has to tracks not fro tracks.eg ltt
Central:-Main station of a important city.eg tvc

Yes. Like I said, Halt stations do not have any signalling controls nor do they have any staff to handle the operations. So usually they'll have only the mainline and no switches or loop lines. Some times, one may have crossovers ( switch from one track to the other) at halt stations, but in those cases, the signalling is usually controlled from the nearest large station.
