Yes needed as lot of ppl from Places like Laxmeshwar,Shirahatti,Mulgund and Some ppl of Gadag take trains frm Bengaluru and get down here and catch buses towards Gadag connecting Laxmeshwara,Shirahatti and Mulgund places so this stop might be useful for such passengers..

Very useful info by you. I always thought this halt to be useless for Siddhaganga Exp, now got to understand why Yalvigi is added.

Now railways sanctioned the old SMR planned Gadag Yalvigi rail route also.. But it's just 56 km route which still lagging for LA from state govt.. If they do complete LA and handover to RB and Put pressure then sure it may get ready within one year excluding station buildings but complete works take lot of time.. But without LA it's waste of sanctioning from RB..
