AC express are lighter on pocket, with no Rajdhani class fare or dynamic fare. They get same priority as other Mail / Express.
No food is provided alongwith the ticket like Rajdhani. You have to buy separately. IR also treats AC express as any other Mail / SF train

I am sorry but I disagree to this. As evident in other replies in the thread, there are numerous difference, in addition to the name.
For rail fans there are so many differences. For AAM JANTA, there is only one difference - 'Free' Food and 'Paid' Food. Hell now the coaches are also same - LHB red coaches for RAJ as well as many AC exp.
For eg. My family cant tell diff between AC exp & Rajdhani unless they read the Train board. The do not know what is 'priority', 'loco link', reg. fare vs flexi fare. etc.
