I would like to mention few of the points which the indian railways should think of in order to increase the revenue by accomplishing few changes and introduction of some new trains in the marathwada region of maharashtra.
1) 1401/1402 - nandigram exp : the sleeper and AC bogies should be increased and the train should be diverted via purna -- hingoli -- akola to nagpur.
2) there is no need to extend mumbai latur exp upto nanded. as this increases the journey between mumbai and nanded by 4 hrs...
more... as compared to other trains running via manmad - aurangabad route. instead the temporary running dadar - nanded should be run on daily basis revising the time schedule.
3) the frequency of kolhapur - nagpur deekshabhoomi exp should be increased upto tri weekly and also it should be diverted via kurduwadi- latur - parali- parbhani - purna --adilabad.
4) 6733/6734 okha -- rameshwaram exp. the number of coaches is very less. the train which covers a journey of 4 days has only 4 sleeper coaches and 1 AC 3 tier and 1 AC 2 tier coach. thus the train should have atleast 22 coaches and the frequency should be increased.
5) patna -- purna express should be extended upto aurangabad and run on a daily basis.
6) secunderabad -- manmad route should be doubled and electrified.
7) temporary trains such as ajmer hyderabad via manmad, tirupati aurangabad, vishakhapatnam shirdi should be made permanent.
8) 2729/2730 nanded pune exp should be diverted via parali latur usmanabad and the no of coaches should be increased.
9) the important jn like parbhani jn purna jn mudkhed jn should have atleast 4 platforms and other services should be provided.
10)nanded division of south central railway should be attached to central railways.
11) passenger trains such as aurangabad - hyderabad, hyderabad - parbhani, nanded - daund, purna - hyderabad should be made fast pass services.
12) kacheguda - nanded intercity exp., adilabad - nanded pass, akola- purna pass, should be extended upto parbhani jn.
13) shuttle services between nanded and aurangabad should be started. as well as intercity between aurangabad nagpur should start. aurangabad mumbai janshatabdi exp should start from nanded.
14) the people from parli parbhani jalna aurangabad should get connectivity services for nanded sriganganagar exp which has not yet started but is likely to start soon.
15) there is a need of atleast one garibrath between secunderabad and mumbai which would have limited stoppages such as nizamabad basar nanded purna parbhani jalna aurangabad manmad nashik kalyan dadar. another garib rath between nanded and amritsar is needed.
16) 6593/6594 nanded bangalore exp is a very slow train till wadi jn.
it runs like a passenger. the speed should be increased.
17) LTT --Manmad godavari exp should be extended upto nanded.
mumbai - nanded tapovan exp should be extended upto adilabad.
manmad -- dharmabad marathwada exp should run between adilabad and manmad and the no of chaircar and 2s bogies should be increased.
18) the average speed of the express trains running on the secunderabad manmad route via nanded --- aurangabad be atleast 70-- 80 km/hr.
19) many express mails running from south india tovnorth india should be diverted via bhusaval - akola - purna- nanded - secunderabad route. it would save a journey near about 10 hrs less.
