Shubham 716 blog postsLast year almost throughout, there have been lot of delays in ALD-MGS route. Seems that now this route has got speeded up substantially but the delay has instead shifted to the Gaya-MGS route.
There seems to be a TSR being frequently imposed between Gaya and DOS in the Gaya-Mgs route and so trains getting delayed here almost daily due to not able to catch Mps upto DOS.
Is some maintenance activity going on in this zone? Anyone has any idea?

Ald-mgs has been speeded up but the greater delays of trains are in ald-cnb section. Gaya-mgs section TSR has not been imposed not in DN and that's for sure. Travelled in 22812 this Sunday. It left mgs at 2:05 and was West cabin gaya within 2 hrs with an avg speed of 100.5 kmph. Not sure about up direction.
No even in down it has been. But as I said, frequently it is there except some lucky days like your case. I just 2 days back came by 12314 and while it covered MGS-DOS in 1 hr 10 mins, immediately after crossing DOS bridge, speed got reduced and it took almost 1.5 hrs to reach Gaya from there creating around 30 mins delay. I checked status of all trains, even 12440 ahead reached gaya 40 mins late that day and all up trains had also got delayed in covering that section.
If you check the running histories, even yesterday this TSR was there.

Atleast for rajdhanis, CNB-ALD section is also going quite good. The issue is still in CNB-NDLS and now with the TSR in place, MGS-Gaya is also sometimes creating delays. Another section that has been speeded up is Gaya-DHN which nowadays takes 2 hrs 10 mins mostly and most make-up of delays in other sections happens here.
