Elevated corridor impractical for long distances because they are costly, Japan can use elevated corridors everywhere because their distances are small. But, we have long distances between cities, so best option would be to use High Speed Trainers which can fit various gauge like HSR Talgo trainers or ICF can be used to make our own BG HSR trainer.
Now bullet train project might run as upgraded corridor because of cost escalation.
They are not going to extend dedicated HSR, instead they are going to build an upgraded BG HSR corridor which is little less expensive.
One of the most useless dream project of railways and politicians. Rather than spending a huge amount of momey they should construct the quadruple electric electric line btwn these cities which would be more beneficiary.the exisiting 1A fare of shatabdi is nearly 1800 then what would be the cost of tkt for bullet train??
If bullet trin goes with 300 kmph than also it would take 1:45-2 hrs to complete journey .
where as flight takes 45 minutes with its cheap fare ranging 900-1600
