There is a good news in today's Bangalore Mirror (BM). This train i.e., Train No:16515 will be named as Kudla Express will run on the newly laid track i.e., via Shravanabelagola. The new number of this train will be 16576 and will initially run for only 3 days of the week as only one rake is available at present. This will be extended to all 7 days when one more rake is allotted. Good news, as there was no morning train on this new route. One more train around 10 or 10.30 in the morning is needed. Instead of keeping the Hassan Yeshvantpur Intercity Superfast idle till evening, they can make one more trip from YPR around 11'O clock which can return to YPR around 5 PM to resume its hourney at 6.30 in the evening.

Yes, but now it is such that Kudla and this together will provide connectivity for 6 days a week between Bengaluru and Mangaluru.

Matter of time when they will terminate this train at MAJN, re-route it via Kunigal and make it Kudla's 2nd rake and operate on all days. It is planned for such scenario, hence the late morning start from MAJN for Kudla.
