Why official kilometer are wrongly updated in official website between Sakleshpur to Subhramanya road
Sakleshpur to Subhramanya road has inflated distance, inflated by 100%
Isn't it purposefully done to charge extra fare?

Yes, several sections on IR have had inflated distances to cover up for the cost of gauge conversion or construction of new lines in challenging terrains. They maintain the same fare per km, while increasing the effective distance.
Yes. Inorder to recover the investment, IR does on few sections.
KR, SKLR SBHR, CLR QLM are few sections where the inflated distance is present

What IR is doing is better than collecting surcharge/cess for recovering the cost of construction & GC, as the passenger gets atleast the benefit of telescopic fare.
