The Railways has worked out details to strengthen security measures under the Integrated Security Scheme (ISS) to deal with threat perceptions from terrorists and banned Naxal outfits across the country. It is seriously mulling an idea to make it mandatory for passengers to reach their respective stations at least an hour before departure of trains. This would facilitate railway security personnel to carry out security check of passengers on the pattern of airport security check. Ridiculous idea, a waste of everybody's time. The naxal problem largely exists on the tracks than inside the trains to begin with.
