for people, NLR might be a preference I agree, but fo railways in operations perspective, GDR is more feasible as the TT will be designed such a way for most trains that it will have enough slack at GDR..so adding a 2-3min scheduled halt (instead unscheduled which happens most of the time for one or the other reason)..
but yea, if they give any one of them also,purpose will be solved

Agreed that GDR is for operational purpose (zonal interchange/divisional interchange etc), but that has nothing to do with slack and halt at GDR.
