technically, no.
many people do, but you are at "rehm-o-karam" of the reserved travelers. If there is some top honcho/imp person in the train then the officials will abide by all the rules in the book, and rules permit officials to unceremoniously dump you out of train.
Long story short, please don't do so, especially if you have a family.
