India's first Bullet train could be a Kolkata- Delhi service, covering the route in 6 hours. "The project is being discussed and we are for finance. We are looking at a public- private partnership on a build, operate and transfer basis," told by the RM. "I have spoken to the Japanese ambassador (for funding and know- how) and he has shown interest in the project."
As of now, feasibility seems to be the only thing standing between the city and its proposed Bullet- train link to the capital. Apart from superfast engines with pointy noses resembling planes, a Bullet- train network requires dedicated tracks- stretches of them elevated- without any level crossings.

that speed- an average of 250 kph and a maximum of 300+ kph- there isn't any margin for error either.
Cost is the deciding factor.
Railways officials said that they estimated the budget for the proposed project to be around rs. 2 bn/ km, which works out to rs. 3 tn for just the Kolkata- Delhi route. That's more than 3 times the railways' expenditure for the current fiscal.
RM said, "We are looking at the big picture. It's not just about connecting two cities, but also creating a subsidiary high- speed network around the two. Mumbai and Chennai will have similar high- speed corridors,".
The RM said that the fares for the Bullet train service would be lower than that of air- travel. The average one- way air- fare on the Kolkata- Delhi route is currently rs. 4500, inclusive of all taxes.
As and when the first Bullet- train hits the tracks, satellite townships like Haldia, Durgapur, Tatanagar and Dhanbad will be connected to Kolkata by other high- speed trains to enable travellers to enable themselves of the new service.

"Feasibility" is the key issue for IndianRailways
and main focus for IR is tracks that are exclusively available during 'bullet run'
1-traffic load on tracks: occupiedness of track is major hurdle for smooth running of 'bullet'.
2-non availability of 'extra' track.
IR

has to face challenge of maintaining expansion of 'rail-ways' : lengthwise, and bredthwise.
Lengthwise tracks are for those routes where railservices are not reached.
Breadthwise tracks are 'additional tracks' where free movement of trains line bullet can be ensured.
Passengers look upto IR>IR look upto Board>Board look upto RM> RM look upto PM and cabinet> PM is busy solving : 3G to CWG to terrorist attacks to Anna Hazare to Mamata>Lokayukata in Gujarat>
How Indian system works and how it will survive the so many onlslaught before it is crashed and taken over by enemies of India
we are dreaming Bullet train , but we get bullet in Heart of India and Indians.
