Shatabdi should take shortest and quickest route via Alwar. Else people of JP shall prefer other trains going via shorter route.
Longer route covers Bharatpur & MTJ which may not give large number of paxs to the train.
JS could find better patronage.

JP-NDLS Shatabdi face intense competition from the luxury buses operating on the route. Fare and journey time are the key factors here. In order to succesfully compete with them, the Shatabdi need to reduce the journey time as well as fare. So shorter route will lead to lesser fare as well as lesser journey time.
A nonstop Shatabdi with 4 hrs journey time on the shortest route is highly desirable to compete with luxury buses.
