One wonders why after gauge conversion, spending a lot of money number of trains which were earlier plying on rewari ringus routes have been stopped. Certainly this was not the objective of gauge conversion to b road gauge One feels we were better off with meter gauge, at least there were a lot of trains. Shall be grateful for comments and reply if any. vk sharma
The same scenerio exists of guage conversion (MG to BG) on the sector Dhola to Mahuva (WR). Guage conversion is completed for almost 3-4 years but the Railways introduced only one long distance..... **weekly**..... train on the route. And that too for 629 kms between Mahuva-Surat.
***Crores of money spent on guage conversions but no trains on the route. It's lying idle ..........waiting for trains ..............for last 3-4 yrs.
