LHB coaches are the state of art coaches being manufactured in India. Its always a dream for railfans to see their favourite trains with LHB rake and desire to travel by LHB trains. While people are happy to see trains getting LHB rakes in view of safety and speed,do you oppose/dislike LHB coaches in any aspect?

LHB coaches have problems with accessibility to upper berths. Recently, I used 3rd AC Upper berth of LHB for the first time but to climb the stairs was a real pain. The stairs were narrow. I don't know whether it is the case with all LHBs.

I m just ok with lhb coaches.....as a railfan point of view the window rods are most joined with window where as in icf there will be slight curves in rod frm window so...we can see the curving and other Railfanning will b easy.....but now its rather tough in lhb....

(1) Better safety, riding characteristics, lighter weight, longer life and higher speed are good things about LHB coaches which can more than compensate their higher cost & make them superior to ICF
(2) But necessity of 2 Generator cars with LHB coach make them a financially loss making proposition for IR.
(3) This probably is a result of improper decision made more than 2 decades back when the import/purchase was made. These factors should have been taken into account, especially when many experts had raised apprehensions on the selection/ utility of

LHB coaches art our requirements, well before the contract was finalised.
(4) Paxs of IR shall be paying 10-15% extra fare due to LHB coaches compensate for loss of revenue of 2 coaches, operation & maintenance cost of generator cars.

according to me in pure lhb coaches, no differently-abled persons part is there in EOG. it is the only disadvantageous point in case of LHB.even though I personally like it.Even last year a person filed a case in madras HC against alloting LHB rakes to pandian exp due to less no.of UR coaches and no part of coach for differentely asked ones. more over in LHB rakes, no of UR coaches also less.
