Even though its officially known that the train name is Kaveri Express, IRCTC website still has the train name mentioned as Chennai Express or Mysore Express.. May i know the reason

In around 1999 Kaveri Express(SBC-MYS-SBC) was terminated and the train in the same timings between Bangalore and Mysore was up to Chennai-since same timings were followed the train was called Kaveri Express in Mysore-Bangalore region and the name stands still-But to Chennai it was a new train and hence they refer it to as Mysore Express only
But I even saw the display in MAS (Chennai Central).. There also it was mentioned as Kaveri Exp
Initially railways ran this train as a trail run from SBC to MAS... @ that time there was only one nite train apart from Howrah / Gwahati Express...
So Railways extended this train to MAS.. I think dep time @ SBC was 2130 and arrival @ MAS was around 0430 AM... Due to heavy patronage, they attached 3 sleeper class and 2 A/c ( one 2nd and one 3rd A/c) at SBC along with loco...
Even today this train runs full and very difficult to get d tkt

It was the chennai-Bangalore special of 1998-timings co-incided exactly with kaveri that it got extended-return timings when Kaveri was introduced for 11:15 departure at chennai and 6:30 arrival at Bangalore and depart at 6:50 to mysore-after the 16731/32 got extended to mysore they change dthe timings of kaveri and 16731/32 started running on the kaveri slot between SBC and MYS
yeah even i remember the change in kaveri timings because of tuticorin express getting extended till mysore. But was chennai-bangalore mail timing changed because of it as Kaveri was running at 11:15pm slot and now Bangalore mail is running in that slot?
