SARATH RAJ P R 60 blog poststhe 6517/6518 YPR-CAN EXP via MAQ takes a long time to reach the destination... but the travelling is a real experiance on the wheels.
the train leaves Kasaragod(KGQ) station by 18.10hrs, reaches Manglore at 19.00 and after the engine change ( direction change) it leaves at 19.45hrs. the next engine ADD is at Subramanya road(SBHR) where an engine will be added behind the train as the track thereafter is through hill via many tunnels and also it crosses some bridges which are really very very deep and a single engine cant pull the whole train. after going thru abt more than 35 tunnels the back engine used for pushing is removed and the direction of engine is again changed...

WHEN INDIAN RAILWAYS HAS PROPOSED IT AS A DAILY TRAIN...........
At timeof budget(2007 i think) itself Lalooji had proposed. Now 2009-10 TAAG also says the same(Footnote on Table No.19/19A)
if the train is made daily it will contribute a lot towards the tourism projects wen checking out the scenic buety on the way
Exactly. it will also make travelling between Hassan and Bangalore Easier. At present it is frustrating to come by bus the last 30kms taking atleast 90 minutes to 150 minuites
WHILE COMING TOWARDS MAQ IT IS FITTED WITH 3 ENGINES IN THE FRONT
