Hello friends.
I am travelling by Okha Howrah Ex (22905) on 21 oct'11 from Rourkela to Howrah. For my onward journey to New Delhi i have booked ticket in Duronto Express which departs from Howrah at 1:00PM. Will I be able to catch Duronto Ex. in time? If not, could you please suggest me any alternate train from Rourkela to Howrah on 21' Oct . Thank You !

Train 22905 is deaprting 7 to 8 hrs behind schedule from Okha so that it reaches Jharsuguda not before 04.00 hrs since last one and half year. From Jharsuguda, Howrah is 514 kms, which means at avg 80 kmph, it will take 6 hrs or so to reach Howrah., so it reaches Howrah not before 10.00 hrs. Add another one hour to it, for safety margin, so you will reach HWH by 11.00 hrs, which is OK for catching 12273 Duronto.
Yes You will be able to catch the train, because this arrives around 7:45 am at Tatanagar because after rescheduled timings, so will reach maximum by 12:00 noon maximum
Sorry, 7 hrs from Jharsuguda to Howrah plus add one hour for safety, so its 04.00 + 8 = 12.00 hrs. You may reach by 12.00 hrs only.
Shall I opt for train No 12905 Porbandar Howrah Ex. for that date. Because my current status in 3A/c in Okha Ex is W/L 13 but in Porbandar Hwh Ex seats are available in 3 A/C. Please suggest !

Both are same trains only. 22905 are slip coaches attached to 12905 at Hapa. However, you may still go ahead for booking in 12905 to have peace of mind.
