I don't understand the need of RSA b/n Mail and Cheran. Both trains run ONT and almost at the same time. Both will be idle at MAS during day. 4 dedicated rakes are needed for 2 trains. Then what is the need for RSA
RSA means PM is needed only once a day at CBE and a dedicated pitline at MAS wont be needed. It will work like this.. 12658-->12673-->PM at CBE-->12674-->12657--->12658 (repeat). 4 rakes and PM needed at CBE only for 1 rake everyday.
2 benefits here :
1) SBC mail will be rescued from delays caused due to Karnataka exp.
2)If RSA happens PM of a rake will be done in CBE once in 4 days instead of once in 2 days. Hence no additional burden in means of PM. Anyways for such a short run time of cheran rake PM is not required every alternate day.
