PNR No is not clear or legible on my ticket No 88692253 from New Delhi to Jammu Tawi for journey on 3 Nov 11. Could some one suggest as how can I get PNR No for checking the other details.

On a serious note the first three digits, I think, have a code related to either train, the zone, or the PRS Zone booked from., and the, I once had two tickets booked online for two trains originating on KR. By mistake I entered the three digis=t number of the second ticket and I actually got the details of a UP originated ticket on the same day.
To cut a long story short, I believe the first 3 digits are not randomly generated but the next six are.

Yes,the 1st 3 digits are related to the Zone and the rest follow the sequence given for each division and each PRS centre.
Will give the accurate info for all the digits how the PNR is segregated for PRS and E-ticket.
