Query Regarding Lower Berth Quota
We know how to book in it, but here the query is about side lower berths.
Are these berths included in lower berth Quota?

i) Regret for not having presently any specific info on this query.
ii)The info on such type of queries may be available in Published Railway books or official Rly websites or Rly system related websites.
Unfortunately the quota statistics and its application are yet to attain transparency. Surely, this explanatory info is of immense help.

While booking tickets Railway does not count Side Lower Berths as a Lower Berth. I have practically seen this many times, while booking for a single person if we choose the option to book ticket only if at least one lower berth is alloted it refuses to book because of non availability of lower berths but when I selected Side Lower as a option it gave me Side Lower Berths
But Yesterday I had a booking of two senior citizens and they wanted to travel on lower berths. So I tried to book first with lower berth options but it refused me for bookings. On checking lower berth quota I found one lower berth was available. So I decided to book...
