is the double line 4m saharanpur to bareilly junction electrified?/

Else it had to change Loco THREE times(MGS,SRE,LDH).
it saves almost 20*3=60 mins time just for loco change.

that's what suprises me....the MGS-HWH section is electrified and still a WDP....and this train is also long, how a WDP maintains speed specially in TOO busy section
People have a wrong idea that diesel are slow but its equally good. remember not long ago, all rajs were by diesel only there is no drastic improvement in timings aftr WAPs. it depends on the condition of hte track and max. permissible speed rather than the engine. WDPs also have speed capacity of 160 in certain models. dont think cheap about WDPs.
WDP 4 are custom made to haul 24 coached trains at 110 kmph steady speed...so a WDP 4 is as good as an electric loco...
the JRC-JAT section is not electrified, electrification on this route is in progress.
