I had booked two tickets o howrah( in that one female Senior Citizen & myself son travel ) from Howrah mail train No.12809 from Thane to Shegaon on dt.18/02/2012 but berth is no yet allotted to us till date, as i had to travel long distance with senior citizen i want confirm berth nos as travel is on night that time we would'nt have so much time to search the ticket checker for berth allottment & luggage is also be there.
So kindly let me know how i will get the confirm berth on dt.18/02/2012.

Sir, Please do not get anxious, if your ticket is not mentioning WL, it means it is confirmed... and as per rule of IR, you get the berth allotted only when chart is prepared, before four hours of departure of train...

In First AC class - 1A, the berth allocation is done while charting to make better use of cabin/coupes. You can check the status of your PNR 2/3 hours before departure, you will get the details.
