What is the duty time of loco drivers?
Any one know how many persons are there in loco cabin generally?

min. 3 hrs. max. 10.30hrs. for exp. 1.30hrs. to 7hrs. for pass. goods 1 hr. to 13hrs. (unlimited some time). OT only after completing 104 hrs. on every 14 days. even a loco pilot/asst. loco pilot worked continuously 20hrs. he may not get OT if he has not complete 104hrs. cumulative working hours. If late arrival is a chance to LP/ALP getting OT, no train will run in time. Before putting your reply confirm the matter with related person .
Sometimes Supervisor/Engine foreman accompanies sir..making it 3..
That's why i stressed on "Regular Basis". And on a regular basis 1 LP & 1 ALP will form a Loco Crew Set. Sometimes many officials can board the loco apart from the Designated Loco Crew like LI, ALP undergoing training, LP's doing Road Learning etc. So sometimes it can be "3" or "10" as the case may be.
Oh k.. Btw, in case of crew shortage can a LP/ALP who did not complete road learning on a particular section, take charge of a train in that section..??
