GG reached Hubli at 4:10 and Humsafar at 5:25 (after 1 hr 15 mins of GG) as expected treatment from SWR for late runner.
So GG was on its right time at Hubli and it was HS which is running already in delay.So HS trailed GG until Hubli jn. Hope GG maintain its priority in SWR as it is one of the oldest well patronaged train since from MG Era serving Solapur to Bangalore and intermediate pax..
They could have allowed it to OT. MYS to UBL is a long distance. HS has less halts. Easily could have OT GG and still GG could have also reached UBL on time. Not that it is a very congested route.
Yes Golgumbaz has got good slack, they should have allowed the overtake nearby to Mandya or Maddur itself or atleast before SBC.
Yup GG have good slack if they allow then it may reach very early to UBL but controller have to check ahead route operations as HS need to handover to CR so already it was huge delayed so CR might be not allowing it after Pune so as per that No OT has provided and where as GG they allowed to run on its own as its terminating nearly at SUR and also it was on right time so controllers if get chance and cooperations from other zones controllers then they can allow delayed train to go ahead compared to regular on time train..
