Do you think that KGI should be developed as a terminal or atleast some terminating trains at SBC be extended to KGI to decongest SBC? Kindly justify your vote in comments.

Even though KGI can be considered as a satellite terminal for SBC,it lacks the thing that SBC,BYPL,BNC,YPR,KJM have.Connection to the interior Bangalore,KGI has less connectivity, too many rickshaws,Ola,Uber,Prepaid Auto/Taxi and bus availability is less.Anyone can go to any part of Bangalore from SBC because of Majestic nearby. It won't be tedious for a guy from outside Bangalore.Local people may know to go from KGI.But it is tedious for a non-Bangalore guy.
Comments are welcome.

There is also the metro, purple line from KGI to WFD via SBC ( KGI-MYS Road section and BYPL-WFD sections are not yet completed).

KGI and surrounding areas have new growing/already choked suburbs and has a lot of newly settled migrants who will benefit from this.
1. Trains like KCVL Exp occupy a PF an entire day, so they can be extended. At SBC it can halt for 5 mins on both directions. It also benefits those travelling to KL from southern end.
2. Similarly is the case of CCT - SBC - NCJ RSA combo .
The

incoming NCJ - SBC has less turnaround time to go back to CCT, that is the only issue.
3. MTM - YPR and KCG - YPR can be extended too.
They will need a halt of 5 mins in the highly congested 8, 9, 10 PFs of SBC. But their timings are ok and can be done.
The biggest advantage will be that 2 PFs of YPR will free up.
4. KCG - SBC can definitely be extended. It is shunted to BNC, BYPL instead extend to KGI and give 5 mins halt at SBC.
5. SC - YPR GR too.
.
The biggest advantage will be for these travellers is that the hours taken to travel to SBC/YPR is saved.
.
Now all these trains have OEA done at SBC/YPR - just coach cleaning and water filling.
Coach cleaning is outsourced and the contractor can take his workers to KGI. Only water filling facility needs to be done at KGI.
.
Also BAW can be used similarly with just water facility required. It is already electrified too. It can use YPR bypass.
In fact instead of BAND, many KL trains can go to BAW as Jalahalli, and surrounding area has most KL migrants after Banaswadi area.
.
Of the 3 major migrants from AP, TN, KL - WFD, KJM , Marathhalli has new IT ones.
Other settlers are mostly in Kengeri, R R Nagara, Peenya, Jalahalli, Hebbal.
So yes, both KGI and BAW will help many of them from the hassle of going to SBC/YPR/BAND.
.

Other thing is that Hejjala is where new CDO may come up after IR buys land from state. So then automatically some trains may extend to KGI. Not just trains having OEA but some having SM / PM too.
