Train travelling is potentially very dangerous, people could actually die all the time, it has nothing to do with sentiment, just that the hindi abbreviation of the said zone really does directly translate into "die" or "to die"
Moreover indian railways does understand that, therefore you see the मध्य marking in most trains

Just that.... people are struggling to get tickets. People struggle to get seats /even enter into unreserved coaches. In this scenario, I am sure most - if not all - will just travel, and not take the markings into consideration and cancel the travel.

I guess it is not the sharp deviation, it should be called as improvement in Policy to curb the cost.
